The best custom homes aren’t designed to win awards. They’re designed to fit the people who live in them. And when industry recognition follows, that’s a welcome bonus.

That’s exactly what happened with Justin and Kaley Miller’s custom home build in Manheim Township, Pennsylvania.

The 4,066 sq. ft. Tudor-inspired custom home, built by EGStoltzfus Custom Homes & Remodeling in Lancaster County, earned several honors at the 2025 Parade of Homes, including the prestigious Fulton Bank Award for Best Single-Family Home.

The home earned six additional awards including Best of Show, Best Kitchen, Best Bath, Best Exterior, Best Interior Design, and Best Decorated.

A Relationship Built on Trust

For the Millers, this wasn’t their first time trusting EGS with a home they loved.

A few years prior, the couple purchased an older resale home in Lancaster County and partnered with EGS to renovate the first floor. The result was a completely redesigned living space that perfectly reflected who they were.

And when the Millers were ready to begin their next chapter with a brand new custom home, they came back to EGS.

Vision That Shaped Every Detail

Justin and Kaley both work from home, love to entertain, and believe health and wellness belong in the design of a home, not just the lifestyle around it.

They wanted cathedral ceilings and natural light.

They also desired open and connected spaces for hosting friends.

They also wanted dedicated offices on separate floors that were designed as individual expressions of their personalities.

And, they wanted all of it to feel timeless.

Their vision – specific, personal, and lifestyle-driven – is precisely the kind of challenge that EGStoltzfus Custom Homes & Remodeling is built for.

For prospective clients exploring custom builders in Lancaster, PA or the surrounding region, the Miller home is a window into what’s possible when a builder truly listens.

How EGStoltzfus Custom Homes & Remodeling Makes It Happen

EGS custom home projects are guided by a proven five-gate design-build process. It’s a structured, collaborative framework designed to be seamless from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.

Clients begin by sharing their vision, which EGS translates into a sketch and feasibility budget.

From there, the design evolves into a full 3D model, and clients work directly with EGS design professionals to make every selection – fixtures, flooring, cabinetry, countertops – long before the foundation is laid.

Construction milestones are mapped and reviewed together throughout the entire design-build process. Learn more about our custom design-build process here.

A Tour of the Home: Standout Spaces

The Kitchen and Hidden Scullery

A love for entertaining drove the Miller’s kitchen design.

The space is anchored by a Wolf 48” all-gas range, a custom faux-painted vent hood with a stone-like travertine finish, and Hanstone quartz countertops – a 4” mitered waterfall edge on the island, 2” on the perimeter.

Brizo Luxe Gold fixtures, a white fireclay farmhouse sink, and rift white oak accents throughout tie the space together.

Behind the kitchen, a fully equipped scullery with a second dishwasher, additional sink, and extra storage helps the main kitchen look its best when guests arrive.

His & Her Offices

Because Justin and Kaley both work from home, dedicated offices were a must – and each space was designed to be entirely their own.

Justin’s first-floor office is moody and masculine – deep Salamander green walls, a bold wallpapered ceiling, and sophisticated brass lighting.

Kaley’s second-floor office is light and layered, with Polo Blue walls and a wallpapered ceiling that brings personality to the space.

The Owner’s Suite and Wet Room

When it came to the primary suite, the Millers envisioned a space that would feel like they were at the spa every day.

A floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace, framed by custom wallpaper imported from France, anchors the bedroom as a focal point and relaxing retreat.

The adjoining wet room features Brizo Luxe Gold fixtures throughout, floor-to-ceiling Bianco Carrara honed marble on walls and floors, four body sprays, and a freestanding soaking tub set into a dramatic arched tile niche with oak-toned surround tile.

The Mudroom and Dog Wash

The family dogs are a big part of the Millers’ home life, so EGS designed a practical yet polished pet space accordingly.

An oversized dog washing station, tiled in Rail Black 3×12 with a herringbone floor that carries through to the powder room, features a wall-mounted satin brass faucet with handshower, a Caesarstone quartz seat, and an oversized window that fills the space with natural light.

The Basement Bar and Wellness Room

The lower level of the Miller home isn’t an afterthought – it’s a special destination.

Their basement delivers two signature spaces:

A custom bar with a gold-inlaid countertop, antique mirrored backsplash, and a concealed speakeasy hidden behind a Murphy door.

A wellness room with a sauna and cold plunge is designed with natural light and intention.

Tour Another EGS Custom Home on the 2026 Parade

The 2025 Parade of Home honors for the Miller’s home reflect what’s possible when great clients and a great process come together. EGS is proud of the recognition, but even prouder of the home that Justin and Kaley get to enjoy every day.

More design-build craftsmanship will be on display at the 2026 Parade of Homes.
