EGStoltzfus is honored to announce that Meadows at Strasburg has been selected as the location of our 10th Homes for HOPE project.
EGStoltzfus Homes will build and sell a home in the neighborhood, with the profits supporting Lancaster, PA-based HOPE International.
Founded in 1997, HOPE International is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides business training, savings services, and small loans to people living in underserved areas in more than 20 countries around the globe.
According to World Bank, approximately 676 million men and women live on less than $1.90 a day and about 1.4 billion adults are unbanked, many of whom often lack access to adequate food, shelter, and employment opportunities.

The Homes for HOPE initiative supports families in the world’s most underserved communities.
These families possess the abilities and dreams necessary to break the chains of poverty, but without capital, they lack the opportunity to improve their lives.
Through Christ-centered microenterprise development, HOPE International and their Homes for HOPE initiative invests in the dreams of families in the world’s most underserved communities.
Simply stated, a Home for HOPE is a home built to help fight global poverty. There are currently 50+ builders throughout the U.S., including EGStoltzfus Homes, supporting this amazing cause.
EGStoltzfus employees celebrated the completion of the 2018 Homes for HOPE project with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
So how does the program work? A builder partner will identify a job to be a Homes for HOPE project. Trade partners, suppliers, and service providers choose to join the project by donating or discounting their time, talents, and resources, which maximizes the home’s profit margin without compromising quality.
Once the home is completed, money from the resulting sale is used to enable the valuable support and services that fight the cycle of poverty.
On September 27th, EGStoltzfus broke ground on their 10th Home for HOPE at Meadows at Strasburg. Construction on the single-family home begins this fall and is set to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.
Representatives from EGStoltzfus and Homes for HOPE kicked off the Meadows at Strasburg project with a groundbreaking ceremony on September 27, 2024.
As part of their annual service project, all EGStoltzfus employees will have the opportunity to volunteer their time to Meadows at Strasburg Home for HOPE, by supporting trade partner involvement, cleaning the home once construction is complete, and coordinating the final celebration event.
In August, EGStoltzfus staff participated in a powerful “Discovering HOPE Experience” hosted by Homes for HOPE. The inspiring immersive session helped provide insight into the lives that EGStoltzfus is helping transform through microenterprise development.
To date, EGStoltzfus has generated over $1.2 million dollars in donations from their past Homes for HOPE projects.
With the support of our dedicated trade partners who generouly contribute their time and resources, we’re excited to begin work on this meaningful initiative that will make a lasting impact.
