Nick Helmick Named Project Manager of the Year by BIA Lancaster

We’re thrilled to announce that Nick Helmick, Project Manager for EGStoltzfus Homes, has received a 2023 Pillar Award from the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Lancaster County.

The Pillar Awards recognize BIA member companies and their employees for outstanding professional achievement in the homebuilding industry.

Nick received the Project Manager of the Year award, which was announced at the BIA’s annual general membership meeting and Pillar Awards dinner on November 9th.

As project manager, Nick oversees new home construction for several EGS communities. In his seven years with EGStoltzfus Homes, his role has evolved from site manager to project manager.

From his first year of employment with EGStoltzfus, Nick demonstrated a desire to not just “go to work” – but to actively engage with his work family.

Part of Nick’s role is to review new home sales contracts for accuracy; design and estimate custom option requests for buyers; submit building permit applications; review plot and construction plans; approve drawings and proposals; and be aware of and respond to ever-changing building code requirements.

Nick also organizes and prepares information to train real estate agents when we start selling in new communities. He serves on the Merchandising, Purchasing, and Execution team, reviewing all proposed customer options and selections in the design studio.

Additionally, Nick is among a select group of team members who meet monthly to vet new products and construction methods while considering value engineering and long-term performance.

Congrats to Nick on this well-deserved achievement!
