Advantages of a Thicker Carpet Pad

A six-pound pad comes with all the carpet in EG Stoltzfus homes. It is a great entry-level padding that is comfortable underfoot.

Upgrade Options
An eight-pound pad has the same thickness but is denser, withstanding heavy foot traffic and supporting fibers of the carpet better. It also has a moisture barrier that will keep the stain from penetrating into the padding, helping with spills, pet accidents, etc. Preventing stains from seeping into the pad below and preventing those stains from reappearing.

A memory foam pad that has the same properties as the eight-pound pad but is a little bit denser and more robust.
